Ethel M. Snepp, 90, Columbus, died Sunday afternoon at the Columbus Convalescent Center, where she was a resident.

She was born Dec. 12, 1895, in Bartholomew County to Sylvester and Stella (Nicholas) Huff. Her first husband, Eldon Coy, preceded her in death in 1951. She married Oscar Snepp Aug. 29, 1952. He died in 1984.

Mrs. Snepp was a church member and a member of Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Patrick of Columbus; three stepsons, Dale Snepp of Franklin, John Snepp of Southport, and George Snepp of Southport; a stepdaughter, Ruth Brown of Franklin; a brother, Ora Huff of Franklin, and three sisters, Mammie Dinn of Edinburgh, Grace Bridges of Franklin, and Florence Conner of Pendleton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street in Columbus, with the Rev. John Brown officiating. Calling will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service.

Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh.

Ethel M. Snepp

Ethel M. Snepp, 90, a resident of Columbus Convalescent Center at 2100 Midway, died there at 4:15 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Snepp is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Patrick of 41 S. Cherry. She was a member of the Christian Church and Order of the Eastern Star.

Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. John Brown at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street where calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Mrs. Snepp was born Dec. 12, 1895, In Bartholomew County, the daughter of Sylvester and Stella Nicholas Huff. She was first married to Eldon Coy, who died in 1951. She was the widow of Oscar Snepp, to whom she was married Aug. 29, 1952. He died Sept. 11, 1984.

Other survivors include a brother, Ora Huff, of Franklin; three sisters, Mammie Dinn of Edinburgh, Grace Bridges of Franklin and Florence Conner of Pendleton; three stepsons, Dale Snepp of Franklin and John and George Snepp, both of Southport; a stepdaughter, Ruth Brown of Franklin, and several nieces and nephews.
