James Garrard, Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by virtue & in consideration of a Land office treasury warrant No 1429.  There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Nicholas Merewether, Assee of Walker Daniel, a Certain tract or parcel of land, containing eight hundred and forty five acres by Survey bearing date the 4th day of June 1795 lying & being in Campbell County in the Fork of Licking and Ohio & bounded as followeth to wit.

Beginning on Main Licking a Sugar tree Hoopwood & two Hickories corner to James Taylor running thence up Licking as it Meanders one hundred and Eighty poles to two Buckeyes and two Hoopwood Saplings; thence North forty six and a half degrees East seven hundred and ninety three poles, to a Beech in Muses line thence North forty three and a half degrees West one hundred and Seventy five poles to a Buckeye in Taylors line; thence with Taylors line South forty six & a half degrees West Seven hundred and sixty three poles to the Beginning at Frankfort on the Ninetieth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Ninety six.
