Old survey No 2958 to John Keith & Charles Morgan; Acres 1000 in Campbell County; Watercourse-Licking River; Survey date 17 Oct 1797; Original book 5, page 36; Grantee Same & heirs; Grant date 12 Mar 1799

James Garrard, Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by virtue & in consideration of a Land office treasury warrant No 15111.  There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto John Keith and Charles Morgan, assee as Tenants in Common, a Certain tract or parcel of land, containing one thousand acres by Survey bearing date the 17th day of October 1797 lying & being in the County of Campbell on the waters of the North East side of Licking River and bounded as followeth to wit.

Beginning at a sugar and ash in a line of John Marshall's entry of 10,000 Acres and running with a line extended from the westward corner of John Richards and Simpson Halleye's Survey of 11931 1/2 Acres South Sixty degrees East four hundred poles to a white oak corner to John Hunter and Charles Morgan's Survey of 1000 Acres; thence with a line thereof South thirty degrees West four hundred poles to a Gun and Dogwood corner to John Barker's and Charles Morgan's Survey of 656 1/2 Acres; thence with a line thereof North Sixty degrees West four hundred poles to a sugar tree and Dogwood in said Marshall's line; thence with the Same North thirty degrees East four hundred poles to the Beginning on the twelfth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine.
