Original survey No 5156 to Simon Morgan & John Rogers; Acreage 95 in Campbell Co; Watercourse-Ohio River; Survey date-4 Sep 1797; Original book 7, pages 337-338 to Richard Southgate & heirs; Grant date 2 May 1802

James Garrard, Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky by virtue & in consideration of a Land office treasury warrant No 16,563 and entered the (blank).  There is granted by the said Commonwealth unto Richard Southgate, assee of Charles Morgan, who was assee of Simon Morgan and John Rogers, a Certain tract or parcel of land, containing ninety five acres by Survey bearing date the 4th day of September 1797 lying & being in the County of Campbell Bounded as followeth to wit.

Beginning at two Lynns two white ash & a sugar tree, a white ash being marked AWW and a beech WK corner to William Kennedy's Survey of 400 acres and Anthony Walton White's survey of Seven thousand one hundred and thirty three acres and Running with said White's line South Seventy degrees west two hundred and thirty four poles to a Sugar tree in a line of David Leetche's Survey of Thirteen thousand eight hundred acres; thence with a line thereof (note-there is a word following this, but the page is too dar to see) ash on a ridge in a line of John William's Survey of one thousand acres; thence with a line thereof East two hundred & eighty four Poles to a sugar tree, a line of said Kennedy's Survey; thence with a line there of South Sixty degrees west forty poles to the Beginning on the Second day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two.
