George Robinson

Kentucky Post, Tuesday, 28 April 1908, page 5

Force had to be used on George Robinson, colored, to make him leave his burning home, 416 Chestnut st. Newport at 2 am this morning. The other members of the family made their escape, but he would not get out of bed until Lieut. Bregel and several patrolmen made him do so.

Samuel Philipps, white, believes the blaze was of incendiary origin. It started in the rear of Robinson's apartments in a frame building. The damage amounts to about $600.
