Hazel Horner, daughter of Prof. Horner, formerly of the Newport colored school, and herself a teacher, will be arraigned in Police Court Newport, this evening on a charge of having whipped Gayle House, another colored girl.  Judge Moore issued a summons for the Horner woman.

A strong attempt is being made to have the proceedings squashed, as Horner is trying to regain his position in the public schools.  The Board of Education let him out at the June meeting.
