NEWPORT

Elmer Parker, 27, of Columbia at. Newport, was injured Saturday night in a row with negroes. Parke does not know whether he was shot of cut, but he is nursing a bad cut in his scalp. William Campbell and John Owsley, tow negroes, who were arrested for knowing something about the assault on Parker, were before Judge Moore in the Police Court today.

The testimony was to the effect that the two prisoners started the row and there were fined for disorderly conduct, Campbell drawing a $15 fine and Owsley $5.
