NEWPORT

John Preston, the colored man charge with the larceny of a cow from C H Horner of cold Springs, was bound over to the Criminal Court yesterday morning by Esquire Bodkins in the sum of $500.

The proof against him was clear and conclusive and nothing short of a miracle will save him from a good round term in the penitentiary.
