APPEAL FILED IN ROOT WILL


A statement of appeal from an order of the Campbell-co Court probating the will of Sarah Root, was filed today in Campbell Circuit Court. The plaintiffs are: Albert H Root, Susan Root, Sarah Morlidge, J B Morlidge, Mary and James Wright, Lucille Root, Horace W Root, Blanche and Leonard Speairs, and the defendants named are: Susan Barker, Olive R Jackson, Virgil Barker and Kate Williams.

The appellants ask that the paper purporting to be the last will of Sarah A Root be produced in Court and that a jury determine whether or not the paper is the last will of the decedent. Under the terms of the will, Olive R Jackson is bequeathed $5000, Virgil Barker gets $600; Kate Williams, a colored cook, $100. the balance of the estate is left to her daughter, Susan R Barker.
