NEWPORT

William Coleman, a gentleman of color, dressed in a very loud costume and hailing from Springfield, Washington County, Ky. entered the County Clerk's office and with a jaunty air, desired to purchase some marriage license.

He was accommodated and he handed them to his intended, Miss Lottie Dorsey, a young Newport lady of very decided complexion of a dark variety. They then visited Majah Nelaon on Southgate street and were made, if possible, happier than they were by being made one.
