Sergeant Moon

TREATED AT FORT THOMAS

A queer case is being treated at the Ft Thomas Hospital. It is that of Sergeant Moon, colored of Troop A, Nineth Cavalry. Moon was stricken with snow blindness in 1890, during the Wounded Knee campaign, and last week he came back to be treated for a recurrence of the disease.

Sergeant Moon is also totally deprived of his sight and has to be led about by a hospital attendant. He was a veteran of Santiago, but escaped uninjured.
