NEWPORT BRIEFS
Mrs. William Walker, colored, residing on Fifth
street, near Isabella, died yesterday, it is claimed as a result of grief over
the tragic death of her son, William Walker, who was shot and
killed several weeks ago by another colored man named Mason.
There was no evidence of any disease and physicians say that the woman's grief caused her death.
