NORTHERN KENTUCKY DEATH
Requiem High Mass for Mrs. Adelaide Widrig, 131 E. Third street, Newport, who died Saturday at Holmes Hospital, Cincinnati, will be sung at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Newport.
Blessing will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery. The funeral will be from the Betz Funeral Home, Newport.
A lifelong resident of Campbell county, Mrs. Widrig was 59. She and her husband, the late Edward Widrig, operated a pharmacy at Third and Saratoga streets, Newport for more than 30 years.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Rawlings, wife of John Rawlings, former Newport City manager; a brother, Stewart Hickey, Cicero, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
The Altar Society of the church will meet at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home for prayers.
