Services for Albert E Bathiany, widely known Newport druggist for 42 years, will be held at the William C Betz Sons funeral home, Newport, at 2 pm Wednesday. Burial will be in the family lot in Alexandria Cemetery. Mr. Bathiany, who was 60 died unexpectedly at his home Sunday in the Imperial Apartments, 632 Nelson place, Newport. Dr. Leo C Sauter, Campbell county coroner said death was due to a heart attack.

The druggist had just returned Friday from a two week vacation in Florida and had worked at his store at 601 Monmouth street until 10 pm Saturday. He suffered the attack just after arising early Sunday. The Newport Life Squad was called but he died before the arrival of the squad.

Mr. Bathiany had operated the store at his present location for 26 years. Prior to that time, he ran a store at Seventh and Monmouth streets. His father, the late Henry E Bathiany, also had been a Newport druggist. A graduate of Newport High School and the Cincinnati College of Pharmacy, Mr. Bathiany also was a director of the Daylight Federal Savings and Loan Association, 614 Monmouth street, Newport, for 30 years. He was a member of the York Street Congregational Church, Newport.

Two sons of Mr. Bathiany recently returned from service in World War II. They are Richard E Bathiany, coach at Newport High School, who served as a naval lieutenant, and Albert E Bathinay Jr. who served as a radio engineer and now is associated in operations of the drug store. A daughter, Elise May Bathiany is physical education instructor at the Newport High School.

Mr. Bathiany also was widely known for his interest in hunting and his promotionof these outdoor sports. He was a member of the Campbell County Bob White Club. Besides his two sons and daughters, he leaves his widow, Mrs. Elsie Ulm Bathiany; a brother Charles E, supervisor in the Cincinnati post office; a sister, Mrs. Richard Ludeke, Cincinnati and two grandchildren.
