Private Albert E Ghant

Kentucky Post, Thursday, 7 April 1904, page 8

FT THOMAS-Private Albert E Ghant, the alleged deserter from the Fourth Battery, Field Artillery, who was brought here from Cincinnati after his arrest in that city and supposed to be mentally unbalanced, has been thoroughly examined by the medical officers, Maj. Wakeman and Lieut. Blanchard and pronounced by them mentally and physically fit for services.

His statement that he killed a woman in Cincinnati while working at a restaurant as a cook is ascribed to a vivid imagination, stimulated by the great heat of the culinary regions. He will be brought to trial before the general court martial.
