OFFICERS-A joint installation of officers of Captain A M Wetherill Camp No 5, United Spanish War Veterans and the Auxiliary will be held at 8 pm Wednesday at Odd Fellows Hall, Sixth and York streets, Newport. Officers to be installed are: Edward Stanley, commander; Frank McKibbon, senior vice commander;

George Rickerson, junior vice commander; Fred H New; adjutant; Fred B Babin, quartermaster; George Harris, trustee; A C Eberhardt, patriotic instructor; John Bottleberger, historian; John Allstock, chaplain; Peter Baker, officer of the day; Alvin Jefferies, officers guard; Frank Haas, sergeant major; William Geule, quartermaster sergeant; Michael Sullivan, senior color sergeant; Byrd L Turner, junior color sergeant; Palmer Herthel, chief musician; William Frommel, A C Eberhardt and John Bottleberger, auditing committee.

VETERANS-The annual mustering in services of the Capt. A M Wetherill Camp No 5 United Spanish American War Veterans, will be held at 8 pm Saturday in Odd Fellows Hall, Sixth and York streets, Newport, Paul Copeland, commander announced. Commander Copeland said the Wetherill Post is one of the oldest in Kentucky. It has 72 members. Other members of the committee besides Copeland are Fred Neu, Chester Brown, John Foreman, Albert Jeffries, Albert Volz and Peter Baker.

VETERAM-Services for Alvin Jeffries, 82, of 24 Summerhill avenue, Newport, will be held at 1 pm Tuesday at the Radel Funeral Home, Newport. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Jeffries veteran of the Spanish American War, died Saturday at his home. He was a member of Capt. A M Wetherill Camp, Spanish American War Veterans, Newport.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Wichoff, with whom he lived and two grandchildren.
