KILLED-T Sgt. Aubrey B Baker, 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. Miles B Baker, of Pleasant Ridge road, Alexandria, was killed in action March 31 in the battle of Luzon, his family was notified. Serving with an infantry unit, Sgt. Baker joined the Army in January 1941 and was sent overseas 22 months ago.

He leaves four brothers, First Lt. Dorman Baker, now stationed at Yuma Ariz. after completing 66 missions over Germany; Second Lt. Bryson Baker, recently given a medical discharge; Pfc. Ivan Baker, serving in the Philippines and Layton Baker at home.

Six northern Kentuckians are among the 1941 Americans who lost their lives during World War II and whose bodies are being returned from Manila aboard the U. S. Army transport Sgt. Morris E Crain. Armed forces dead were originally interred in temporary military cemeteries in New guine and the Philippine Islands.

Those from northern Kentucky are: T Sgt. Aubrey B Baker, Miles B Baker, R 1, Alexandria.

Services for Tech-4 Aubrey Beamer Baker, killed in action on March 31, 1945, in Luzon, Philippine Islands, will be held at Grants Lick Baptist Church at ? pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Grants Lick. Tech. Baker, who was 25 at the time of his death, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Miles B Baker of Grants Lick.

He was a nephew of Rev E L Howerton of the Baptist Church who will officiate at the services.

HEROS REST-Services were held this week at Grants Lick Baptist Church for Tech 4 Aubrey Beamer Baker, who was killed in the battle for Luzon, Philippine Islands, March 31, 1945. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Grants Lick. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Miles B Baker, Grants Lick.
