Basil Austin, 45, World War I veteran died Wednesday at his home, 212 W Seventh st. Newport. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Julia K Austin and two brother, Thomas and Carl. He was employed as a gardener at Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, for the past 10 years.
Services will be held Saturday at 8:30 am at the Betz funeral home, Newport, with requiem high mass at 9 am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery.
