At the morning session, held by the Spanish War veterans, who are
holding their encampment in Newport yesterday, the following officers were
elected to serve the ensuing year:
Commander of the Department of Kentucky, Ben F Reiley of Newport; Chaplain General, Rev John Frederick of Newport. The veterans will attend a divine service at St Paul Episcopal Church this morning and the encampment will wind up with a bivouac at the Lagoon tonight.

The final session of the State Encampment of the Spanish American War Veterans was held yesterday at Evert's Hall, Newport. Officer elected were: Department of Chaplain, B F Reiley of Newport.

Services for Benjamin F Reiley, Charleston West Va. former
Newport resident, will be held at the Dobbling Funeral Home, Bellevue, at 2 pm
Saturday. Burial will be in the Alexandria Cemetery. Mr. Reiley died Tuesday at
the age of 71 at Veterans Hospital in Huntington W Va. Friends may call at the
funeral home after 6 pm Friday.
During the Spanish American War, he was a member of Co H of the Second Kentucky Infantry. Mr. Reiley was a past department commander of Captain A M Wetherill Camp, Spanish American War Veterans, Newport and a member of the Robert Burns Lodge of Masons; Olive Branch Masons Chapter; Royal Arch Masons and Jefferson Council of Royal and Selected Masons all of Newport.
He leaves his widow Mary.
