WOUNDED-PFC Carl L Herbst, 26, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herbst, Rifle Range Road, Alexandria, is recovering at tyhe Ashford General Hospital, White Sulphur Springs W. Va. from wounds received Feb 3 in France his parents were notified. Pvt. Herbst, a farmer prior to entering the service July 17, is a graduate of the Hawthorne Grade School. He was overseas three months.

PVT. Carl L Herbst, who recently spent 30 days furlough with his
family on Rifle Range road, Alexandria, has reported back to Ashford General
Hospital, West Virginia. Pvt. Herbst is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Herbst,
has two battle stars and the Purple Heart for wounds received Feb 3 in France.
