MUSICIAN-Funeral services for Charles Gross, 50, widely known cornetist, who died late Tuesday at his home, 601 E Third st. Newport, will be held Thur4sday at 2:30 pm at the Vonderhaar & Stetter funeral home, Newport. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Gross was one of the oldest members of the Cincinnati musician's union. He studied under William Kopp, conductor of the Miami Symphony Orchestra and later appeared with John Weber, Henry Fillmore, Walter Esberger and other noted band leaders. He is survived by a brother, also a musician; a sister, Mrs. Hulda Dorsey and a daughter, Helen both of Newport. He was a member of the Robert Burns Lodge of Masons, Newport.
