HERO-Services for Cpl. Charles E Morgan, Newport soldier killed in World War II, will be held at the John J Radel funeral home, Newport, at 2 pm Thursday. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside in Evergreen Cemetery by members of James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, Newport.
Corporal Morgan, who was 22 was killed in action in Germany on Feb 25, 1945, while serving with the 130th Division. He was a member of IOO11 No 5 Bellevue, and the American Legion of Boise Ida. He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Morgan, 1010 Hamlet street, Newport; a sister Miss Ann Pearl Morgan; three brothers, Clarence and Morris, Newport, and Pfc. Herbert Morgan, Ft Knox Ky.
