SERVICES-Services for Charles H Zuber, veteran Cincinnati newspaper man, will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the John J Radel funeral home, Newport. He died Saturday at his home, 613 Lexington avenue, Newport. He was 63. Mr. Zuber had been in ill health several years, although he continued his column, "Curtains Down" in the Sunday Enquirer.
He began his career with the Times-Star when he was 17. He soon became a reporter and later was made sports editor and dramatic editor, holding both positions at the same time. Shortly before the war he gave up newspaper work, serving as publicity director for the Chamber of Commerce, Cincinnati Baseball Club and several theaters. He was employed in the publicity department of the Ordnance Division during the war.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Florence Rooks Zuber; a son, Lytel Zuber, Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Helander, Youngstown O; a sister, Miss Rose L Zuber, Newport and two brothers, John Zuber, Newport and Louis Zuber, Kansas City.
