GETTING TOOLS READY

During the past few days carpenters working in Claryville have suffered greatly from midnight marauders, who broke into a number of unfinished houses and stole their tools. Since last Friday three carpenters, Hines, Ware and Hoffman, have reported such robberies at Newport police headquarters and the local police now expect to hear from some good housebreaking jobs.

The examination of candidates for the office of County School Superintendent was continued yesterday. The following applicants have presented themselves: Arthur Maddox of Claryville.
