PROCEEDINGS OF THE ALEXANDRIA VIGILANCE COMMITTEE
The citizens of Alexandria proceeded on Tuesday
last to enforce their order of banishment upon Mr. Collier, suspected of
tampering with slaves. They put his furniture and family in wagons, drove them
to the river and set them on the Ohio side.
