ELECTED-James Wallace Costigan Post, American Legion, met Monday night and elected a Board of Trustees to take the place of the old Executive Committee which was done away with several weeks ago. Trustees are Taylor Anstead, Conrad Matz and Eugene Daly.

DIES-Conrad Matz, 83, father of Conrad G Matz, former judge of Campbell County, died early Friday at his home, 537 Lexington avenue, Newport. Mr. Matz, a letter carrier for many years, retired when he was 65. He was a lifelong resident of Newport and a life member of Newport Lodge F&AM. Mr. Matz leaves his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Matz; his on, one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Rushmore, Bradenton, Fla. and two grandchildren. Funeral arrangements in charge of the Erschell Funeral Home, Newport, will be completed later pending word from Mrs. Rushmore.
