Capt. Corbin

Covington Journal, October 28, 1871, page 2

Some rebels belonging to Capt. Corbin's and Jesse's command were concealing themselves in the corn fields in the county during the first of the week. Scouts were sent out to capture them, but failed to secure them, but took three horses, saddles etc. in a stable on Mr. John Giltner's farm and found a hot meal in the corn field prepared for them.

Two more were seen nearer town who had abandoned their horses and were making their way on foot.
