Sheriff Nagel appeared before Judge Moore, of the Campbell County Court today and declared he had appointed Daniel Swinburne a Deputy Sheriff. The latter took the oath of office prescribed by law and the appointment was ordered approved.
Swinburne is employed as a watchman at the Wiedemann brewery plant, and the appointment gives him police powers in the discharge of his other duties.
