Miss Kate Wagonfield, of Tenth and Central Avenue, Newport, was elected Friday in Lexington, at the Grand Council of the Daughters of Rebecca, Grand Treasurer of the State Lodge. She is a member of Martha Washington Lodge of Newport. The Newport delegates to the Council returned Saturday.

A meeting of the Keturah Moss Taylor Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, was held at the home of Mrs. Samuel Bailey on Monmouth Street, Newport, Thursday afternoon, which will be the last meeting of the season.

It is believed that the Keturah Moss Taylor and the Rebecca Bryan Boone Chapters will unite shortly, to form one chapter.

At the meeting of the Rebecca Bryan Boone Chapter, Daughters of the Revolution held with Mrs. Ellis on Friday of the pate week. Mrs. Thornton read an interesting paper on China and Mrs. Ellis gave an interesting talk on Chinese Language.

At the euchre and whist given by the Rebecca Bryan Boone Chapter, Daughters of the Revolution, on Wednesday afternoon and evening, Mrs. George Washington won the whist trophy and Mrs. Muders, Mrs. P Brown and Miss Mary Michie the euchre prizes. In the evening Mrs. Woodbury, Mrs. Healy, Mrs. Seman, Dr. Shaler Berry and Mr. Ferguson captures the prizes.

The prizes were donated by the S H Bryan Grocery Company Mr. Ed Lohmeyer, Mr. L C Widrig, Mrs. J M Arnold, Mr. J J Suhre, Mr. H Keogh, Mr. W Horner, Mr. J Bartholomew, H&S Pogue Company, Mr. Weilhelmi, Mr. Frank Ulm and the George McAplin Company.

Mrs. Martha McGinniss of 324 E Fourth st. Newport, who died at her home Monday, was the oldest member of the First Presbyterian Church, President of the Women's Home Missionary society and an honorary member of the Rebekah Bryan Boone chapter, Daughters of American Revolution.
