PARTY-Plans have been started for the annual card party to be held March 17 for the benefit of the Nurses Alumnae association of Speers Hospital. Miss Elizabeth Hauser is chairman of the committee.

APPEAL-An appeal for clothing and shoes for school children was made by Miss Elizabeth Hauser Newport school nurse. Miss Hauser said a large number of children have been unable to attend their classes as they are without proper clothing. Miss Hauser said anyone wishing to donate shoes or clothing can leave the articles at the Arnold School, Central av. between Fifth and Sixth streets, or call her at South 1445.

PRAISED-Miss Elizabeth Hauser, public school nurse of Newport and Dr. Carey E Wamsley, member of the Newport Optimist Club, were the recipients of presents in recognition of their unselfish service at the weekly meeting of the club Tuesday. Miss Hauser received a wrist watch.

DAYTON-The alumnae of Speers Hospital entertained on Wednesday at the Netherland Plaza in compliment to the class of 1931. Miss Josephine Meyers, community nurse was chair of the banquet and Miss Olive Sodent, also community nurse was hostess at a party at the Cox Theater. Among the graduates who were honored were Olive Watts, Gladys Youtsey, Virgiline Pfiffer, Jessie Franklin and Marion Shaulis.

At the same time the class of 1914 of Speers entertained at the Plaza in honor of Miss Sophia Steinhauer, superintendent of nurses. Covers were place for Anna Marie Steinhauer, Birdie Horner, Adelaide Stoll, Elizabeth Weber, Gertrude Ergott, Laura Steine, Marcella Gramer, Camilla Powers, Elizabeth Hauser, Mary Fred, Susanna Salt, Agnes Greifenkamp, Flora Gates, Olive Sodent and Josephine Meyers.

LUNCHEON-Covington Chamber of Commerce was the setting for a luncheon last week in observance of National Public Health Nurses Day. Attending the luncheon were Elizabeth Hauser, registered nurse for Newport Schools.
