CHOSEN-In the first days of October 42 young northern Kentuckian enlisted in the Army and Air Force at the Newport and Covington recruiting stations. They include; Elza Cummins, 21, of 821 Second Avenue, Dayton Ky.

KIA-Services for Army Pfc. Elza M Cummins, who was killed in action in Korea Sept. 2, 1950, will be held at 10 am Saturday at the Dobbling Funeral home, Bellevue. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Pfc. Cummins, an employee of the C&O Railway before enlisting Aug 29, 1945, was 22 at the time of his death. He was a native of Augusta.

Mr. and Mrs. Nick Buschard, his stepfather and mother, recently moved from Dayton to Butler. Besides the parents, he leaves three brothers, Richard, Dayton; Cline, Butler and Pfc. Floyd Cummins, Ft Riley, Kansas and two sisters, Mrs. Loretta Clements and Mrs. Mary Rooney, both of Butler.
