REVIVED-Fast work by the Life Saving Squad of hte Newport Fire Department late Monday is believed to have saved the life of Ernest Hines, barber, Oak st. and River rd. Silver Grove, Ky. Hines collapsed while in a restaurant near his home. Clyde Myers and John Moore of the Life Saving Squad arrived at the Hines home in Silver Grove just 16 minutes after they received a call from Dr. J E Pinguely, who said that nothing but a pulmotor could save Hines life. the squad worked with Hines 1 1/2 hours and revived him. His condition was reported improved Tuesday.
Hines, who was World War veteran, collapsed as a result of being gassed in the war. Dr. Pinguely worked to revive the man for one hour. When he failed, he asked for the Lige Saving Squad, who made record time

WAR VETERAN-Condition of Ernest Hines, 39, of 1025 S Ft Thomas av. Ft Thomas, a World War Veteran stricken with a heart attack as the result of having been gassed and wounded overseas, was reported slightly improved Tuesday. Hines was stricken early Tuesday at his home. Dr. J H Hohnstedt, Ft Thomas and members of the Life Saving Squad of the Newport Fire Department were summoned.
After administration artificial respiration to the victim for more than two hours he was revived.

BARBER DEAD-Word was received here Saturday of the death of Ernest Hines, former Silver Grove barber shop operator, who died at the Veterans Hospital, Dayton O. Funeral services for the deceased will be conducted at Somerset Ky.
