Ferry Rates
On Wednesday last, the Campbell County Court established the following rates of ferriage from Newport to Cincinnati:
Monthly passengers 25 cents for a family consisting of eight persons. Over eight persons, 30 cents. Foot passengers, 1 cent; one horse dray, wagon, cart or other vehicle, with load and driver, 5 cents; two horses dray, cart of other vehicle, with load and driver, 10 cents; three or more horses with load and driver, 15 cents; horse and rider, 5 cents; cattle or horses in droves, 5 cents each; hogs and sheep, 1 cent each; freight in barrels, 2 cents each; freight in boxes per 100 pounds, 1 cent.
