Henry Badger Fire

Kentucky Post, Saturday, 12 March 1910, page 5

"Get out of here, your house is on fire!" is the greeting that startled the members of Henry Badger's household, 29 Court pl. Newport shortly after 7 am this morning. The roof of the Badger home was burning at a lively rate when a passer by noticing the blaze rushed into the house and warned the inmates of the danger.

Badger hurried across the street to Police Headquarters and called the Fire Department. Fire Company No 1 was on the scene a few moments later and extinguished the blaze. The fire started from a defective flue.
