NEWPORT
The Fire Department was called to quench a small blaze in a house
owned by Circuit Court Clerk Tony Reuscher yesterday morning, on East Front
street, about 11 o'clock. A prominent citizen kept tab on the time from
turning in the alarm and the department responded in exactly two minutes and had
water on the flames in three minutes.
The damage was slight.
