NEWPORT
A fire broke out yesterday morning in an ice house belonging to
Messrs. Thornton & Co. on York street, Newport. There was a large stock of the
crystallized water on hand, which was reduced by the heat to its original
element. Unfortunately for the owners, there was no insurance on the stock.
