Mrs. Frances Pelle, widow of the late William Pelle, a deputy sheriff, was sworn in Monday by Sheriff Lee B Keslar to fill the office of deputy made vacant by her husband's death. Mrs. Pelle will be assigned to the office on tax matters.

Deputy Pell, who lived at 175 Fourth avenue, Silver Grove, died suddenly two weeks ago.

Four youths arrested in Cincinnati were to be given over to Campbell County authorities in connection with the burglary of a Silver Grove cafe. The four admitted burglary of the cafe of William Pelle, River road. Investigation revealed the articles and a suit of clothing were stolen Wednesday from the Pelle Cafe.

Frances Rose Pelle was born 30 April 1882 in Alexandria, the daughter of Pete Neiser and Anna Mae Meyer. She died 1 July 1964 in Alexandria and was buried in the Alexandria Cemetery.
