George Bates, a Confederate soldier, who has been an inmate of the infirmary fell off a hay wagon on the farm of H Frahrenholtz, Cold Spring, yesterday and suffered a fracture of the left leg at the ankle. Dr. Ragan rendered the necessary surgical aid.
Bates was assisting Fahrenholtz in harvesting his hay crop.
