Mayor Ellis has named George Seither as Chief of Police. Seither has been acting Chief since the death of Wesley Ratliff and has been on the force four years. He has a good record. Council has concurred in the Mayor's appointment. Charles Frommell and Arnold Dresselhaus were selected as patrolmen. The former is a night patrolman to fill the vacancy made by the resignation of C W Hildebrand; the latter succeeds Seither.

BELLEVUE-Chief Seither chased a half dozen or more hoboes out of town yesterday who were begging from door to door. He is on the trail of boys with Flobert rifles who are in the habit of discharging them within the city limits. In one or two cases women have had narrow escapes while sitting in their homes. All rifles found in the hands of boys will be confiscated by the police.

BABY-Roy Tennefield and Roy Freiberger found the body of a baby boy, ran to Bellevue Police Headquarters and told their story to Bellevue Police Chief George Seither. Seither found the body of a well formed baby boy with black hair about an inch long. It had been in t he water about three days. It was taken to Cunningham and Dobblins undertakers where Campbell co. coroner James Digby said death had been due to exposure. He is at work to find the parents.

AUTO-Margaret Urlage, 6, daugher of J Urlage and wife of 353 Van Voast av. Bellevue was struck by an auto driven by Albert Bohn at Taylor and Center streets, Sunday afternoon. Chief Seither saw the girl fall under the wheels of the auto and picked her up. She was taken to Speers Hospital in Dayton in Bohn's auto.

BELLEVUE WAR-Orders were issued Saturday by John Winters, Bellevue mayor to the police to strictly enforce the Kentucky work or fight and anti-loafing law to the letter. George Seither police chief has issued an edict to patrolmen that all persons found no regularly employed must be made to explain why they have not worked at least 26 hours a week as is required under the law.

RITES-Requiem High Mass will be sung at 10:30 am Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Bellevue, for George Conrad Seither, 79 year old former police chief of Bellevue, who died Wednesday at St Elizabeth Hospital, Covington. Prayers will be said at 10 am at the Dobbling Funeral home, Bellevue. Burial will be in St Stephen Cemetery, Ft Thomas.

Mr. Seither, who lived at 428 Clark street, Bellevue, served as police chief from 1900 to 1920. After that he operated a newspaper route in Bellevue until the time of his death. He leaves a daughter, Miss Isabel Seither, Bellevue; five grandchildren, Henry, George and James Seither; Mrs. Mary Ruth D'Amici and Mrs. Delores Fetcher and two great grandchildren.
