GEORGE VONDERHAAR, RETIRED TAILOR DIES

George Vonderhaar, a well-known Newport tailor who retired about 10 years ago, died early Wednesday at Speers Hospital, Dayton.  Mr. Vonderhaar, 79, was a lifelong resident of Newport and for 52 years a member of the St. George Benevolent Society.

He made his home at 810 Linden avenue. He was a member of the Catholic Knights of St. John. Mr. Vonderhaar leaves his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Hilge Vonderhaar; a son, George Vonderhaar, Jr.; and three daughters, Mrs. Edward Rohrer, Mrs. Lillian Rieger and Miss Anna Vonderhaar.

The funeral will be under the direction of the J. J. Radel Co., Newport.  Services will be held Friday from the residence, followed by Requiem High Mass at St. Stephen Church and burial in St. Stephen Cemetery.  Time of services has not been arranged definitely.
