SERVICES-Services for George Warner, 38, of 508 Lexington av. Newport, former sergeant in the regular US Army died Thursday will be held at the residence Monday at 2 pm. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Warner was stationed at Ft Thomas two years before the war when he was transferred to border duty at Vera Crus.
His father, the late Charles R Warner, was a lieutenant in the Civil War. He was a former commander of Nelson Post GAR. George Warner died of a cerebral hemorrhage. For the last 11 years he had been a freight clerk with the Southern RR. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Pauline Warner; three sisters and a brother all of Newport.
