Glen Dale Moore

 

BROOKSVILLE-Gene Dale Moore, 72, of Alexandria, went to be with our Lord and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 24, 2018.  He was born to the late Eugene and Fannie Moore of Milford on May 9, 1945.

Gene is survived by his wife of 52 years, Neva Sue (Powell) Moore, originally of Lenoxburg, his two daughters, Gena (Bernie) Combs of Newport, and Beth Moore of Lenoxburg; his four grandchildren, Miranda (Matthew) Shephard, Mirissa, Miriah and Mirena Combs; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his loving sister, Donna Moore McConnell and his brother in law, Wayne McConnell.

Gene was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who enjoyed hunting, fishing farming and being with his friends and family. He retired from General Motors in Norwood, Ohio, after 23 years of service.  He served as a city councilman for the City of Alexandria; was a 39 year member of Alexandria Masonic Lodge number 152; past Worthy Patron of Alexandria Order of Eastern Star number 337; member Church of Christ of Alexandria where he served as a deacon, trustee, and an elder.  He was also chairman of church missions.

The funeral will be 1 pm on Thursday, March 29, at Church of Christ of Alexandria. Burial will be at Lenoxburg Cemetery in Bracken County. Visitation will be 4 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home with the Masonic Service at 7 pm.
