A feeling of sadness was felt throughout our community Friday when the news came that "Aunt" Harriet is gone. Back to the memory of those to whom she had ministered in sickness and in sorrow came many acts of kindness and deeds of love performed during her long life of 86 years.

Since the death of her husband in 1918, she has made her home with her son William, who tenderly cared for her.  She was stricken with pneumonia that Tuesday and in spite of loving care and medical attention she grew steadily worse and it was soon apparent to all that the end was near.  She was conscious of her condition but towards the last did not seem to suffer and her life ended as one who wearied of the work of the day and lies down to rest.

Her funeral occurred at Grants Lick Sunday, Mary 20, conducted by Rev C S Ellis, undertakers Sheanshang & Smith in charge.  The pall-bearers were six of her grandsons, Thurman Bryan, Roy and Ernest Daniel, Oliver and Homan Marsh and Frank Davis, and the beautiful flowers were carried by six of her granddaughters.  interment in Oakland cemetery besides her husband to await the resurrection morn.
