DEATHS-Harry
W. Schmitz, Sr. 72, who operated a tailor shop at 607 York Street, Newport, for
the past 50 years, died early Saturday at St. Luke Hospital, Ft. Thomas. Mr.
Schmitz, who lived at 829 Highland avenue, Ft. Thomas, had been a lifelong
resident of Newport until a year ago.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Catherine Schmitz, three sons, Harry Jr. Paul and
Jack; all of Fort Thomas; a sister, Mrs. Louise Schack, Newport, and four
grandchildren. Prayers will be said at the Muehlenkamp funeral home, Newport,
with Requiem High Mass at 9 a.m. at St. Therese Church, Southgate. Burial will
be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
