HERO-Henry Osterlitz, of 205 East Front st. Newport, proved himself a hero Sunday by plunging into the Ohio River and saving the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles McMillan. The child was returning from Sunday School at 4 pm and in company with a number of other little girls went to the edge of the water on the coal fleet. She lost her balance and fell from the barge into the water.

The cries of her companions attracted the attention of Osterlitz and he plunged in after her. She was unconscious, but was soon revived by Dr. F A Clark. She was later taken to her home on Third st.
