Henry Wertheimer Drugstore

Kentucky Post, Thursday, 22 January 1903, page 5

A bold attempt at robbery was foiled Wednesday afternoon in Newport by the presence of mind of Druggist Henry Wertheimer, of Seventh and Monmouth Streets. Three men appeared in the rear of his store and the druggist was startled by the sound of falling glass. He ran out and was informed by one of the men that the man running down the street broke his window.

The police think the man who remained was a confederate and if Wertheimer had given chase, he would have looted the store in his absence. A description of the men has been furnished the police and they are working on the case.
