Hyatt Van Tassell

It is with much regret that we are compelled to record the death
of an old citizen of Newport. We are informed by Mr. J L Hawley, an accredited
agent of Van Amburgh & Co, that Mr. Hyatt Van Tassell, a gentleman long and
favorably known in the "Show business" and an attache of Van Amburgh & Co, met
with a sudden death on Saturday last by accidentally falling from the second
story of the Cowan House, in Huntington, Carroll County, Tennessee.
Mr. Van Tassell was originally from Westchester County, NY and we are requested to ask that the papers of that county will notice the above death.
