Residents in the eastern section of Newport declared in Police Court Tuesday it had been a long time since they had seen a Newport policeman in their section. The men were witnesses in the case of a man giving the name of C W Turner, charged with burglarizing the home of George Knarr, at Third and Beech avenues.

J A Zuber, 633 E Third st. Eugene Daly, 635 E Third and Edward Hamilton of Second and Beech avenues, testified they saw the man climb out of the window of Knarrs home.

John A Zuber, father of Charles A "Cully" Zuber, for years sports editor of a Cincinnati newspaper, died late Tuesday at St Elizabeth Hospital in Covington. Other children surviving are; Louis, Kansas City, Mo. John, theatrical electrician and Miss Rose Zuber of Newport.

The widow, who has been in ill health for some time, collapsed when informed of her lifemate's death and now is in serious condition. The decedent had been in ill health for some time.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon with services in the late home, 612 Lexington av. Newport. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Page 2-ZUBER, John A, beloved husband of Catherine E Zuber, died Tuesday, March 16, at his residence, 613 Lexington av. Newport, aged 32 years. Funeral Thursday, services at residence at 2 pm. Interment at Evergreen.
