Newport Murder Trial


It is expected that George Dehnert, the crippled brother of Martin Dehnert, who is on trial for the murder of John Braun, will testify today that he committed the crime and not Martin.

The jury for the trial was completed yesterday. the commonwealth's witnesses testified to the commission of the deed by Martin Dehnert. The accused denied the charge and was corroborated by his brother, William, both saying Martin left the scene of the killing 15 minutes before the crime was committed. The brother George will be heard this morning. It is believe the case will to to the jury this evening.
