VETERAN-The funeral of John D (sic) Ketterer, 81, of 1007 Sixth av. Dayton, who died Friday at his home, was held Monday at 8 am with requiem high mass at St Bernard Charch. He is survived by his widow, three daughters and one son. Ketterer moved to Dayton in 1851, when the city was known as Jamestown. He was the last survivor of a committee which laid the corner stone of the old St Francis Church, the first Catholic church in Dayton, and lived to see it replace by the new St Bernard Church, a modern and handsome edifice.

Members of the Joe Hooker Post GAR, visited the home of their comrade Sunday afternoon.
